Human Patterns EUWC Solutions

❤️ Why do we repeat the same relationship patterns?

❤️ Have you ever wondered why very different relationships can sometimes begin to feel strangely similar?

The person may be different. The circumstances may be different. Even the beginning of the relationship may feel completely new.

And yet, after some time, a familiar situation appears again.

💬 The same kind of argument.
😔 The same feeling of disappointment.
🤐 The same silence after a difficult conversation.
⚡ The same reaction when you feel ignored or misunderstood.
🚪 Or the same moment when one person begins to pull away.

🧩 Sometimes the repeating pattern is not the person we choose — but the situation that gradually develops between two people.

🔎 What keeps repeating?

When a relationship becomes difficult, it is natural to focus on what the other person did.

But another useful question can be:

“Have I experienced this same feeling before?”

Perhaps the repeating element is:

  • ❤️ wanting closeness but becoming uncomfortable when someone gets too close;
  • 😟 repeatedly feeling abandoned or ignored;
  • 🛡️ becoming defensive when you feel criticized;
  • 🤐 avoiding difficult conversations;
  • ⚡ reacting strongly to certain words or behaviours;
  • 🔁 becoming involved in relationships with a similar dynamic.

Recognizing a similarity does not mean that every relationship is the same. It simply gives us another perspective from which to look at our experience.

🧠 Look beyond the people

Imagine two completely different relationships from different periods of your life.

Now temporarily remove the names and faces from the story.

❤️ What did you want from the relationship?

😟 What were you afraid might happen?

💬 What usually triggered an argument?

How did you react when tension appeared?

🚪 Who usually moved closer and who moved away?

🔁 Does any part of this pattern feel familiar?

Sometimes this comparison reveals something we did not notice while we were focused on the individual relationship.

💡 A different question

Instead of asking only:

“Why do I keep meeting the wrong people?”

we can also ask:

🧩 “What situation keeps appearing in my relationships, even when the people are different?”

The answer may not be obvious. Sometimes simply noticing the question is enough to begin seeing the situation differently.

💬 What about your relationships?

Have you ever noticed the same situation appearing in more than one relationship?

Maybe it was the same argument, the same fear, the same distance or the same expectation.

👇 What was the repeating part?

Share your experience in the community. Someone else may recognize a similar pattern in their own life.

🌿 Human Patterns is a place for sharing personal experiences and different perspectives. There does not have to be one universal explanation for every relationship or situation.
